TEXTFORMAT.TOSTRING

Converts a list to a displayable string.

Syntax

<TEXTFORMAT.TOSTRING
      LIST="listname" 
      [FIELD="fieldname"] 
      VARNAME="varname"
      [MAXCOUNT="number"]
   [ELLIPSIS="true|false"]/> 

Parameters

LIST (required)

Input parameter. Name of the list to convert.

FIELD (optional)

Input parameter. A column name in the list.

VARNAME (required)

Input and output parameter. As input, the name of variable to hold the string on output.

MAXCOUNT (optional)

Input parameter. Maximum number of entries to display.

ELLIPSIS (optional)

Input parameter. determines if an ellipsis string (...) is appended if more than the maximum number of entries exist in this list. Valid options are true (default value) and false.
